Dealing with Rashes and the Itches

Rashes are characterized by skin’s redness and change in texture. It is caused by the inability of the body to flush excess toxins. Excess toxins are deposited in the skin but sweat glands sometimes cannot handle this thereby the inflammation. Rashes are also called dermatitis. There are three types of rashes with specific causes for each type. Seborrheic dermatitis can be attributed to occasional shampooing and lotioning, old age, stress, fatigue and oily skin. Contact rashes on the other hand are caused by clothing chemicals (like dyes and detergents), rubber, beauty products (like cosmetics and soaps) and plants (like poison oak and ivy). The last type includes other rashes like insect bites, chicken pox, measles, psoriasis, eczema and many others.

Rashes come with itchiness. It can be very troubling and irritating that is why when we experience it, we should do our best to make it go away. If we don’t do something about it, our skin will suffer because of scratches and some bruising. The first thing that we can do is nourish the body. We should eat the right kind of food for it will radiate in our skin. We should specifically choose a diet rich in Vitamin E which can keep the skin healthy. Let us ask our dermatologists what to use. They will normally prescribe anti inflammatory drugs and ointment.

When rashes never leave despite of the things we try, it is time to return to the dermatologist. Apart from that, we should see our doctor when we observe rashes that persist for a long time because it may mean there is an underlying illness.
